Down Came the Rain

I love the colour in this picture. We'd just had a morning of heavy rain. But thankfully, just after lunch the rain stopped and the clouds thinned. The even light produced by the light cloud cover was a blessing, and presented some great opportunities to experiment in a neighbours garden. A tripod also let me play around with exposure time, although I found that going hand-held gave me the angles I was looking for. I still need to remind myself on how the depth of field is related to focal length. I wish I'd tried this picture at 200mm, to see what the difference would have been.
